Replacing the fuel filter (L13A) (Honda Civic 8)

If the fuel pressure has dropped below the required value, the fuel filter must be replaced, after making sure that the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator are in order.



1. Remove the fuel tank block.

2. Remove fuel pressure regulator A.



3. Remove fuel filter assembly B.

4. Check the following points before installing the fuel pump/fuel level gauge assembly:

• when connecting the wiring harness, make sure the connection is secure and the C connectors are firmly seated;
• when installing the fuel level meter sending unit D, make sure the connection is secure and the connector is firmly fixed. Be careful not to bend or twist it too much.

5. Install the fuel filter assembly with new O-rings E in the reverse order of removal. When installing the fuel pump/fuel level gauge assembly, align the marks on the assembly with those on the fuel tank.

Note: Lubricate the O-rings with engine oil.
