1. Remove the boot latch and boot.
2. Fill the inside of the new boot and lubricate seat band A with grease. Do not allow grease to come into contact with matte surfaces of the boot and lower hinge B.
3. Remove grease from the surface of the taper of pin C and fill base D with fresh grease. Keep dirt and other foreign matter out of the protective boot.
4. Place boot on ball joint and squeeze lightly to release air from it.
5. Press the cover with a special tool so that its lower part lies completely on the lower hinge.
6. After installing the boot, remove any traces of grease from the protruding part of the ball pin.
