1. Before installing the steering wheel, make sure the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position, and then set the rotary contactor A to the middle position. To do this, first turn the rotary contactor clockwise until it stops. Then turn it about three full turns counterclockwise. The arrow B on the rotating part of the rotary contactor must point straight up.
2. Position the two lugs A of the turn signal lever return clutch B as shown. Install the steering wheel, making sure that the hub C is engaged with the pins D of the circular slip ring and with the lugs of the turn signal lever return clutch. When installing the steering wheel, do not subject it or the steering column to shock.
3. Establish a bolt And fastenings of a steering wheel and tighten it up to the recommended moment. Connect the optional cable connector harness B. Check that the harness is properly routed and secured.
4. Install the driver's airbag and test the system for proper operation.
5. Connect the negative cable to the battery and do the following:
Turn the ignition key to position «ON» (II); The SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds, then turn off.
Set the correct time on the clock.
Check cruise control system, audio remote control, navigation system (if available) and turning off the turn signal.
Make sure the steering wheel is properly centered.
