1. Before installing the steering wheel, make sure that the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position, then set the rotary contactor A to the middle position. To do this, first turn the rotary contactor clockwise until it stops. Then turn it counterclockwise about three full turns. Arrow B on the rotating part of the rotary contactor should point straight up.
2. Position the two projections A of the turn signal lever return sleeve B as shown in the figure. Install the steering wheel by engaging the hub C with the fingers D of the slip ring and with the projections of the turn signal lever return sleeve. When installing the steering wheel, do not subject it or the steering column to impacts.
3. Install the steering wheel mounting bolt A and tighten it to the specified torque. Connect the auxiliary wiring harness to the cable connector B. Make sure the wiring harness is properly routed and secured.
4. Install the driver's airbag and check the system's functionality.
5. Connect the negative cable to the battery and do the following:
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" (II) position; the SRS indicator should come on for approximately 6 seconds and then go out.

Set the correct time on the clock.
Check the cruise control system, remote control of the audio system, navigation system (if any) and turning off the turn signal.
Make sure the steering wheel is properly centered.
