Check that the ball bearing A of the steering column and the bearings of the steering shaft pivots move normally and do not have excessive play. If there is too much play in any of the bearings, replace the steering column assembly.
Make sure the lower shaft C moves freely in both directions. If the lower slide roller is removed, insert it into the upper roller so that the stamped marks or the D marks applied with paint match up. If its movement is difficult, replace the steering column assembly.
Check that the sliding capsules E are not deformed or broken. If deformation or breakage is found, replace the steering column assembly.
Check how the tilt mechanism and telescoping steering wheel work.
Check whether the damping plates F are deformed or broken. If deformation or breakage is found, replace the steering column assembly.
