1. Remove the cover from the tie rod end and remove the old grease from the ball pin.
2. Fill the bottom cavity of the ball pin with fresh multipurpose grease.
3. Fill the inside of the new boot B with fresh multipurpose grease and apply grease to the boot ring.
When lubricating the hinge, pay attention to the following.
Make sure that the grease does not get on the bearing surface D of the boot and on the conical seating surface E of the pin.
Keep dirt and dust out of the protective case.
4. Install the new hinge cover A using the special tool. There should be no gap in the landing part B of the cover. After installing the boot, inspect the seating surface of the finger and, if necessary, clean it of grease and dirt.
