3. Fill the inside of the new boot with fresh multi-purpose grease and apply the grease to the boot ring.
When lubricating the hinge, pay attention to the following.
Be careful that no grease gets on the bearing surface D of the boot or on the conical seat surface E of the pin.
Prevent dirt and dust from entering the protective case.
4. Install the new joint boot A using a special tool. There should be no gap in the seat part B of the boot. After installing the boot, inspect the seat surface of the pin and clean it from grease and dirt if necessary.
