2. Align the front wheels, then remove the driver's airbag from the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the optional cable connector harness A.
4. Loosen the bolt B fastening the steering wheel.
5. Install a commercially available steering wheel puller A to steering wheel B. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column by turning bolt C of the puller.
When removing the steering wheel, pay attention to the following.
When removing the steering wheel, do not subject it or the steering column to impact.
If you screw puller D bolts into the steering wheel hub more than five threads, the bolts will hit the circular slip ring and damage it. To prevent this, thread two lock nuts onto the puller bolts five threads from the end of each bolt.
6. Remove the steering wheel puller, then remove the steering wheel bolt and steering wheel from the column.
