Removal (sedan)
1. Set the selector to the "N" position.
2. Remove the center console (see chapter "Body").
3. Loosen the nut and disconnect the gearbox control cable.

4. Turn the protruding part (A) of the holder 90° as shown in the figure and remove the cable (B) from the bracket (C).
Note: When removing the cable, do not remove the guide bushing (D).

5. Disconnect the connectors.

6. Unscrew 4 bolts and remove the selector.
Installation (sedan)
1. Install the selector.
Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. After installation, set the selector to the "N" position and make sure that the selector position indicator readings correspond to the selector position.
3. If the indicator readings do not correspond to the selector position, set the cable to the "N" position, following the figure.

4. Turn off the ignition.
5. Install the pin (A) with a diameter of 6 mm into the holes (B) of the selector as shown in the figure to fix the position of the selector.

6. Install the cable into the bracket (C) and turn the protruding part of the cable holder (A) 90° as shown in the figure. When installing the cable, install the end of the cable (D) onto the shaft (E) so that the hole in the cable matches the square protrusion of the shaft.

7. Make sure the cable is installed securely.
8. Tighten the cable mounting nut.
9. Remove the pin installed to fix the selector position.
10. Connect the connectors to the selector.
11. Move the selector to each position and check that the selector position indicator readings correspond to the selector position.
12. Start the engine and, by moving the selector to each position, make sure that the gearbox control cable is adjusted correctly.
13. Install the selector trim (see chapter "Body").
14. Install the lower center instrument cluster trim (see chapter "Body").
Removal (hatchback)
1. Remove the ashtray and lower center trim of the instrument cluster (see chapter "Body").
2. Remove the selector trim (see chapter "Body").
3. Move the selector to the "R" position.
4. Slide the adjustment cap (A) of the cable end (D) as shown in the figure. Using pliers, remove the cable retainer (B).

5. Move the selector to the "N" position and remove the cable (C) from the cable end (D).
6. Turn the protruding part (C) of the holder (A) 90° as shown in the figure and remove the cable from the bracket (D).
Note: When removing the cable, do not remove the guide bushing (B).

7. Remove the bracket (A).

8. Disconnect the connector (B) of the selector lock solenoid valve and the selector "S" position sensor.
9. Apply protective tape to the center console trim to prevent damage.
10. Loosen the bolts and remove the selector (C).
Installation (hatchback)
1. Apply protective tape to the center console trim to prevent damage. Install the selector (A) and tighten the bolts (B).
2. Install the bracket (C).
3. Connect the connector (D) of the selector lock solenoid valve and the selector position sensor "S". Install the connector on the bracket.

4. Turn on the ignition and make sure that the selector position indicator "R" is lit.
5. If the "R" indicator does not light, set the cable to the "R" position, referring to the figure.

6. Turn off the ignition.
7. Move the selector to the "N" position.
8. Install the cable into the bracket (D) and turn the protruding part (B) of the cable holder (A) 90° as shown in the figure.
Note: Make sure the guide bushing (C) is installed correctly.

9. Make sure the cable is installed securely.
10. Install the end of the cable (A) into the end (B) of the cable.

11. Move the selector to the "R" position.
12. Install the pin (A) with a diameter of 6 mm into the hole of the selector as shown in the figure to fix the position of the selector.

13. Install the new retainer (A) and slide the adjustment cover (B) as shown in the figure.

14. Remove the pin installed to fix the selector position.
15. Move the selector to each position and check that the selector position indicator readings correspond to the selector position.
16. Start the engine and, by moving the selector to each position, make sure that the gearbox control cable is adjusted correctly.
17. Install the selector trim (see chapter "Body").
18. Install the lower center instrument cluster trim (see chapter "Body").
