Inspection/Adjustment
1. Start the engine. Maintain the engine speed at 3000 rpm without any load on the engine (gearbox in neutral, automatic transmission selector in position [P] or [N]) until the electric fan turns on, then switch the engine to idle mode,
2. Make sure the drive cable moves smoothly without sticking. Correct the problem if necessary.
3. Check the cable deflection near the drive sector of the damper. The cable deflection should be 10-12 mm.

4. If the deviation is beyond the set limits, loosen the lock nut by turning the adjusting nut until the normal deviation is reached, then tighten the lock nut.
5. If the cable is adjusted correctly, make sure that the throttle valve opens fully when the accelerator pedal is pressed all the way down and returns to the idle position when the pedal is released.
Installation
1. Open the damper fully, install the cable on the damper drive sector, then fix the cable body in the holder.

2. Start the engine. Maintain the engine speed at 3000 rpm without any load on the engine (gearbox in neutral, automatic transmission selector in position [P] or [N]) until the radiator fan turns on, then leave the engine idling.
3. Hold the cable sheath and completely remove any slack.
4. Attach the lock nut to the cable holder. Adjust the adjusting nut so that the sag is = 0.
5. Remove the cable housing from the holder, reinstall the adjusting nut, then tighten the lock nut.
