Checking the throttle cable (Honda Avancier 1)

1. Start the engine and warm it up until the radiator fan runs twice, then warm it up for more than 2 minutes at 3000 rpm without load.

2. Check the cable for damage and replace it if necessary.

3. Check the free play of the cable.

• Standard free play of the cable: 10-12mm

If the cable free play is different from the specified value, loosen the lock nut and make adjustments.

4. Make sure that when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed, the throttle valve is fully open, and when the pedal is released, the throttle valve is fully closed.
