Control
1. Inspect the fuel hoses and tubes. They should be free of kinks and dents.
2. Connect the pressure gauge (see Section 3).
3. Start the engine and measure the fuel pressure. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator (see fig. 3.18a and 3.18b). If there is no fuel pressure, carefully disconnect the return line. Putting rags under the connector. If the pressure starts to increase, replace the regulator.
Replacement
4. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
5. Remove the fuel pressure in the system (see Section 2).
6. Disconnect the vacuum and fuel return hoses from the regulator.

7. Unscrew the two bolts and remove the regulator.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Use new rubber seals. When installing rubber rings, lubricate them with engine oil.
