Control
1. Examine fuel hoses and pipes. They must be free of kinks and folds.
2. Connect pressure gauge (see Section 3).
3. Start the engine and measure the fuel pressure. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator (see fig. 3.18a and 3.186). If there is no fuel pressure, carefully disconnect the return line. putting a rag under the connector. If the pressure starts to rise, replace the regulator.
Replacement
4. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
5. Relieve the fuel pressure in the system (see section 2).
6. Disconnect the vacuum and fuel return hoses from the regulator.

7. Turn away two bolts and remove a regulator.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Use new rubber seals. When installing rubber rings, lubricate them with engine oil.
