Control
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the distributor cap.
3. Disconnect vacuum hoses from a diaphragm of a vacuum regulator. Connect vacuum pump to diaphragm port (if there are two hoses, then connect to the external pipe).
4. Turn the breaker disk to the right - to the left and make sure that it moves freely.
5. Gradually apply vacuum to the diaphragm. Make sure that the breaker disk turns smoothly.
- A) When a disk jams, see if it is bent?
- b) if the vacuum pump gauge shows a decrease in vacuum, the diaphragm is defective. Replace it.
Replacement
6. Remove the retaining ring from the vacuum regulator diaphragm.

7. Turn away screws of fastening of a diaphragm.

8. Disconnect the diaphragm lever, pull the diaphragm out of the distributor.
9. Installation is made in the return to removal order.
