2. Mark and disconnect the wires from the generator.
3. Loosen the adjusting bolt and axle bolt nut, remove the belt.

4. Remove the axle bolt and adjusting bolt and remove the generator from the engine.
5. When replacing the generator, make sure that the new and old units are identical.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Adjust the belt tension (see Chapter 1).
8. Check the charging current (see Section 16).
