Replacing the fuel pump (N22A) (Honda Civic 8)

Removal

1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Remove the air cleaner housing.

3. Disconnect fuel pump connector A.



4. Remove high pressure pipe B.

5. Disconnect fuel hoses C.

6. Remove fuel pump D.

Installation

1. Hand tighten nuts A onto new high pressure pipe B.

2. Install fuel pump C.

Note: When installing the fuel pump, install the pump itself and camshaft D.

3. Tighten the nut on the fuel pump E.

4. Tighten the nut on the fuel rail A.

5. Install the retainer and rubber seal of the high pressure pipe F.

Note: If the retainer and high pressure pipe rubber seal are not installed, fuel may leak from the fuel line.

6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal and bleed the fuel system.
