Note. During this check, diagnostic trouble codes may appear on the screen. When the test is complete, delete the fault codes using HDS.
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the shield and the panel under the shield.
3. Disconnect vacuum hose A and connect vacuum pump/sensor B to it.
4. Start the engine and wait 1 minute. The vacuum pressure should exceed 93.3 kPa.
- If the vacuum pressure is normal, the test is complete.
- If the vacuum pressure is outside the range specified in the specification, replace the vacuum pump.
