Removal and installation
1. Relieve residual fuel pressure.
2. Unscrew the fuel filler cap and release the pressure in the fuel tank.
3. (2WD models) Remove the center console and parking brake lever.
4. (4WD models) Remove the front seat.
5. Remove the service hatch cover "A" and disconnect the connector "B".
6. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
7. Install a special tool on the additional fuel pump, unscrew the lock nut and remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
8. (2WD models) Disconnect pipes "B" and "C" from fuel pump "A".
Removal and installation the fuel pump (2WD).

Removal and installation the fuel pump (4WD).
A - fuel filter,
B - pressure regulator;
C - fuel level indicator sensor,

J - fuel tank,
K - top of the fuel pump,
L - mark.
9. (4WD models) Disconnect pipes "B" and "C" from fuel pump "A".
Note: When installing the fuel pump, make sure that the "D" mark is facing as shown in the figure.
10. (2WD models) Remove the fuel filter "A", fuel gauge sensor "B", disconnect connector "C", remove fuel pump "D".
Note:
- When installing the fuel level indicator sensor, do not damage its lever.
- The suction filter must be securely connected to the fuel pump.
- Do not reinstall the "E" gasket and "G" O-rings.
11. (2WD models) Install the gasket on the fuel tank, when installing the fuel pump, align its mark with the mark on the fuel tank. Then install in the reverse order of removal.
12. (4WD models) Remove the fuel filter "A", pressure regulator "B", fuel gauge sensor "C", disconnect connector "D", housing "E" and remove the fuel pump "F1".
Note:
- When installing the fuel level indicator sensor, do not damage its lever.
- The suction filter must be securely connected to the fuel pump.
- Do not reinstall the "H" gasket and "I" O-rings.
13. (4WD models) Install the gasket on the fuel tank, when installing the fuel pump, align its mark with the mark on the fuel tank. Then install in the reverse order of removal.
