Replacing the fuel level indicator sending unit (N22A) (Honda Civic 8)

1. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.

2. Raise the center console and remove the parking brake lever A.

3. Remove access panel A from the floor.

4. Disconnect connector B from the fuel tank.

5. Disconnect the C line quick-release fittings from the fuel pump/fuel level meter unit.

6. Using the special tool, loosen the fastening nut A of the fuel tank block assembly.

7. Remove the fastening nut A and the fuel tank block assembly.

8. Replace the fuel level meter sending unit B.

9. Install the fuel level meter sending unit in the reverse order of removal with a new base gasket C and a new mounting nut, then check the following:

when connecting the wire harness, make sure the connection is secure and the D connector is securely locked;
when installing the fuel level meter sending unit, make sure the connection is secure and the connector is firmly locked. Be careful not to bend or twist it too much;
when installing the fuel level gauge unit, align the marks on the fuel tank E and on the fuel tank unit F.
