Removal and installation
1. Remove the mounting block in the passenger compartment.
2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the air mixing actuator (B).

3. Loosen the screws and remove the drive.
4. Disconnect the rod (C).
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Make sure the drive operates smoothly.
Examination
1. Disconnect the connector from the air mixing actuator.
2. Connect the battery to terminals "1" (+) and "2" (-), make sure the throttle moves to the "MAX COOL" position. Reverse the polarity and make sure the throttle moves to the "MAX HOT" position.

If the air mixing actuator does not work, replace it.

If the actuator operates unevenly, make sure the damper and rod move evenly.
If the damper and rod move evenly, replace the air mixing actuator.
If the damper and rod do not move evenly, repair them.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals "4" and "5".
Resistance - 2.1-3.9 kOhm
4. Measure the resistance between terminals "3" and "4".
Resistance:
- MAX NOTE - 1.56-3.24 kOhm
- MAX COOL — 0.35 - 0.91 kOhm
