- Standard gap: 0.15 - 0.30 mm
- Maximum allowable: 0.40 mm
If the clearance is greater than the maximum allowable, install a new connecting rod.
If after installing a new connecting rod the clearance is greater than the maximum allowable, replace the crankshaft.
Press the crankshaft away from the installed pointer indicator, and set the indicator to zero, apply force to the crankshaft in the axial direction and read the instrument reading, it should not exceed the maximum permissible value.
Crankshaft axial clearance:
- Standard: 0.10 - 0.35 mm
- Maximum allowable: 0.45 mm
If the axial clearance is greater than the maximum permissible value, check the thrust half rings and the thrust surface on the crankshaft. Replace as necessary.
Attention. The thrust half rings are installed with the grooves facing outwards (from the neck).
