- Standard gap: 0.15 - 0.30 mm
- Maximum permissible: 0.40 mm
If the gap is greater than the maximum permissible, install a new connecting rod.
If after installing a new connecting rod the gap is greater than the maximum permissible, replace the crankshaft.
Press the crankshaft away from the installed dial indicator, and set the indicator to zero, apply force to the crankshaft in the axial direction and read the instrument reading, it should not exceed the maximum permissible.
Crankshaft axial clearance:
- Standard: 0.10 - 0.35 mm
- Maximum permissible: 0.45 mm
If the axial clearance is greater than the maximum permissible, check the thrust half-rings and thrust surface on the crankshaft. Replace as needed.
Attention. The thrust half-rings are installed with the grooves facing outwards (from the cervix).
