Note:
- Use only the sensor set for HFC-134a (R-134a).
- Use a vacuum pump adapter with a built-in one-way valve to prevent pump oil from entering the system.
Warning
When working with HFC-134a refrigerant (R-34a):
- Always wear eye protection.
- Do not allow refrigerant to come into contact with your skin or eyes.
If this happened, then:
-Do not rub your skin or eyes.
-Rinse eyes or skin with plenty of cold water.
-Consult a doctor or medical facility for immediate help, do not try to help yourself.
- Store HFC-134a refrigerant containers (R-134a) at temperatures below 40°C.
- Stay away from open flames; the refrigerant itself is not flammable, but produces toxic gases when in contact with a flame.
- Work in a well-ventilated area. The refrigerant evaporates very quickly and can displace all the air in a small enclosed space.
Attention. Do not overcharge the system; this will damage the compressor.
1. After checking for leaks, make sure the high pressure valve is closed and start the engine.
Note: Engine speed must be below 1500 rpm.
Three valve set:
2. Open the front door.
Turn A/C to ON.
Set the temperature regulator to MAX.
Set the mode switch to VENT.
Turn on the heater fan to MAX.
3. Open the low pressure valve and charge R-134a refrigerant.
Warning
- Do not open the high pressure valve.
- Do not turn containers upside down.
4. Charge the system with a specified amount of refrigerant.
Refrigerant quantity: 650 g.
5. After charging the specified amount, close the low pressure valve and refrigerant containers. Check the system.
6. Stop the engine and quickly disconnect the charging hose.
7. Check the system for leaks using a gas detector for R-134a refrigerant.
Note: Spot check for leaks near the compressor, condenser, and tank/drier.
