2. Check the condition of the threads and rubber seal on the new filter. Wipe the seat on the cylinder block, then apply a thin layer of oil to the filter rubber seal.
Note: Only use filters with a built-in bypass system.
3. Screw in the oil filter by hand.
4. After the rubber seal is in place, tighten the oil filter clockwise using the special tool.
Tightening: 7/8 turns clockwise. Torque: 22 (2.2 kgf/m).
Eight digits are printed on the surface of the filter. Below is an explanation of how to tighten the filters using these numbers.
1. Mark the engine block against the number that is visible from the bottom of the filter when the rubber seal is in place.
2. Tighten the filter by turning it clockwise seven numbers from the marked point. For example, if the mark is applied opposite the number 2, when the rubber seal is in place, then the filter should be tightened until the number 1 appears opposite the marked point.
3. After installation, fill the engine with oil to the required level, start the engine and let it run for more than three minutes, then check for leakage.
