2. On fuel injected models, relieve the system from pressure (see Section 2).
3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
4. If there is a drain plug, unscrew it and drain the gasoline into a suitable container. If there is no plug, drain the gasoline using a hose through the neck.
5. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands.
6. Mark and then disconnect the fuel hoses, tubes and brackets.

7. To hold the tank, place a jack underneath it. Place a piece of wood between the tank and the jack.
8. Disconnect the tank fasteners and lower the tank down.
10. Remove the tank from under the car.
11. The tank is installed in the reverse order of removal.
