2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Disconnect the tubes from the pump.
4. Remove the protective cover and brackets attached to the pump.

5. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the pump.
6. Remove any remaining old gaskets from the pump flange.
7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Fuel Injected Models (1985-1987 years of production)
8. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
9. Relieve the fuel system of pressure (see Section 2).
10. Loosen the left rear wheel nuts. Raise the rear of the car and place it on stands.
11. Remove the left rear wheel.
12. Remove the fuel pump protection bolts and dismantle it.

13. Remove the pulsation damper from the fuel pump. Be prepared for gasoline to spill out.

14. Disconnect the tubes and wires from the pump.
15. Unscrew the bolts securing the pump to the bracket and remove the pump.
16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Do not forget to replace the sealing washer (Fig. 4.13).
17. After installing the pump, check for leaks, check the operation of the pump (see Section 3).
Models produced since 1988
18. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Relieve the fuel system of pressure (see Section 2).
19. Remove the rear seat.
20. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel pump and sensor (electrical connectors are located under the rear seat).
21. Remove the fuel tank (see Section 5).
22. Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts.

23. Remove the pump.
24. Remove the filter from the end of the fuel pump.
25. Disconnect the pump from the flange.
26. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
