Note: Apply the parking brake before starting work.
1. Jack up the car.
2. Loosen the front wheel mounting nuts (A).

3. Drain the automatic transmission (CVT) working fluid or manual transmission oil (see chapter "Maintenance and General Procedures - Checks and Adjustments").
4. Remove the front wheels (B).
5. Unlock the rim (D) of the wheel hub mounting nut (c),
6. Loosen the bolts (A) securing the heat insulator (B) and remove it.

7. Using a plastic hammer, loosen the shaft fit in the wheel hub and remove the shaft from the hub.

8. Remove the cotter pin (A) and unscrew the nut (B) securing the ball joint of the lower arm of the front suspension.

9. Using a special tool, disconnect the lower arm of the front suspension from the steering knuckle.
10. Disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission/intermediate drive shaft (4WD models) as shown.
Right drive shaft (left hand drive models with manual transmission, right hand drive models with 2WD).
Right drive shaft (left-hand drive models with automatic transmission, right-hand drive models with 4WD).
