1. Loosen the rear wheel nuts, lift the car and place it on stands. Remove the wheels.

2. Disconnect the lower mountings of both shock absorbers (see section 14).

3. Disconnect the Panhard rod mount from the rear axle (see section 17).

4. Remove the left wheel hub (see section 15) and remove the brake drum support disc, guide lever and journal (see fig. 14.4).

5. Remove the control lever on the right side.

6. Remove the four bolts securing the trunnion to the beam.

7. Supporting the axle beam with a jack, move it to the side until the trunnion studs are released, lower the beam to the ground.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
