Check the serviceability and functioning of outdoor lighting and signaling devices at least once a month. A burnt out headlight bulb can cause an emergency on the road, as visibility from the car will deteriorate. If the outdoor lighting devices malfunction, other road users may not notice the vehicle or may not be able to receive a warning about the start of braking or vehicle maneuver in time.
Check the serviceability of outdoor lighting and alarm devices in the following sequence.
Headlights (near and far light).
Front marker lights..
Rear marker lights.
Stoplights.
Turn signal lights.
Side turn signal repeaters.
Reversing lights.
Emergency light signaling.
Registration plate lights.
Upper brake light.
Front fog lights (for some vehicle variants).
Rear fog lamp.
If you find a burned out lamp, immediately replace it with a working one.
