To turn on the outdoor lighting devices, turn the end handle of the main switch lever to the first fixed position corresponding to the pictogram. This will turn on the front and rear marker lights, license plate lights and instrument panel lights. To turn on the dipped headlights, turn the end handle of the main switch to the second fixed position corresponding to the pictogram. To prevent battery drain, a warning chime will sound when the driver's door is opened if the lights are left on and the ignition key is turned to "ACC" (I) or "LOCK" (0).
Short-term switching of the headlights from low beam to high beam and back is done by pulling the switch lever towards you. To permanently turn on the high beam, pull the lever towards you until it clicks, then release.
Note. The high beam is switched on for a short time regardless of the position of the rotary end handle of the main switch.
Some of the car models covered in this manual are equipped with a system for automatically turning on daylight running lights (DRL). The daytime running lights turn on and off automatically when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" (II), turning it off can be done by turning the end handle of the central light switch to the first or second fixed position.
Turning on the direction indicators
The indicators are switched on using the main lighting switch lever. The lever is moved up or down, depending on the selected direction of change of course. When moving the lever to the extreme upper/lower position (click) the corresponding direction indicators will continue to function until the steering wheel is returned to the straight position.
Short-term inclusion of pointers, for example, with the intention to change the lane of movement, is done by slightly pulling the lever up or down, respectively.
