Checking the electric drive



1. Remove the door panel.

2. Disconnect the A 6P connector block from the windshield wiper drive.

3. Check the operation of the drive in each direction by connecting the battery power and ground according to the table. When the drive stops, disconnect one of the wires immediately.

4. If the electric drive does not work or works with sticking, replace it.

5. Connect the 6P connector block to the window lifter drive.

6. Check the voltage between the terminals.

There should be battery voltage between terminals No.6 [1] (+) and No.5 [2] (-) with the ignition switch in the ON (II) position.

Connect an analog voltmeter to terminals #2 [5](+) and #5 [2] (-) and turn on the low or high speed of the windshield wiper motor. The voltmeter needle will fluctuate (the digital voltmeter will show an average voltage of 0-5 V).

Connect an analog voltmeter to terminals #3 [4](+) and #5 [2] (-) and turn on the low or high speed of the windshield wiper motor. The voltmeter needle will fluctuate (the digital voltmeter will show an average voltage of 0-5 V).

7. If the voltage is not as specified, perform an input signal test (at terminals No.4, 5 and 6) of the front passenger side window switch.

8. If the switch is OK, replace the front passenger window motor.
