Note. The power window control unit is integrated into the power window switch on the passenger side.
1. Remove the power window switch A from the front passenger side.
2. Disconnect the 14P connector B from the power window switch on the passenger side.
3. Check the connectors and connector terminals to make sure they are making good contact.
If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, correct them and recheck the connections.
If the terminals are OK, perform the following connector input checks.
If the check shows a malfunction, find and eliminate the cause and repeat the check. o If all input test results are positive, then the power window switch on the front passenger side is faulty; replace the switch.
4. Without connecting the switch, run these input checks at the connector.
If any test indicates a malfunction, find and eliminate the cause and repeat the test.
If all input signal checks show no problem, go to step 5.
5. Reattach the 14P connector to the power window switch on the passenger side. Turn the ignition to the ON position (II) and test the input signal at the connector.
If any test indicates a malfunction, find and eliminate the cause and repeat the test.
If all checks of the input signals did not reveal a malfunction, the control unit is most likely faulty; Replace the front passenger's power window switch.
6. Adjust the power window control unit.
