Power steering motor (Honda Civic 7)

Removal and installation

Note:

• Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the notes in the text.
• After installation, start the engine and set the idle speed, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times and make sure the "EPS" indicator is off.

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the air filter housing and resonator.



3. Loosen the bolts and remove the vacuum hose and tube, then the brake tube. Remove the engine wiring harness from the bracket.







4. Disconnect the clamp and disconnect the heater valve cable. Remove the heater valve and place it aside.

Tightening torque: 9.8 Nm



5. Disconnect the connectors, unscrew the bolt and remove the bracket.

Tightening torque: 9.8 Nm



6. Loosen the bolts and remove the power steering motor.

Tightening torque - 20 Nm



6. Remove the O-ring.

Note:

• Use a new O-ring when installing.
• When installing, apply silicone based lubricant to the O-ring.

7. Clean the contact surface of the electric motor and steering gear.
