Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Before installing the motor, apply grease to the motor shaft or worm shaft splines and silicone grease to the sealing ring.
- Before tightening the motor mounting bolts, rotate the motor left and right 45° two or three times. Make sure the motor fits flush on the steering gear mounting surface and that the sealing ring is not compressed.
1. Remove the steering gear (see section "Removal and installation the steering gear").
2. (Left hand drive models)
Remove the bracket (A).
3. Disconnect connectors 6P (B), 1P (C), 2P (D) and remove the clamp (E).
4. Loosen the bolts and remove the heat insulator (A) (left-hand drive models), electric motor (B) and seal ring (C).
- Tightening torque - 20 Nm
Left-hand drive models.
Right hand drive and 2WD models.
