The SRS pneumatic safety system of the cars in question includes an airbag, sensors, a control unit and a warning lamp on the instrument panel.
When handling the pillow container, always hold the lined side of the container away from you. Do not lay the container with the lined side down. It is forbidden to install and rearrange an airbag module removed from an emergency or disassembled vehicle. It is allowed to check the circuit of the pneumatic safety system only with a digital multimeter, the current in the measuring circuit of which, when switching to a range of several ohms and below, does not exceed 10 mA. Do not change the airbag module wiring. When working near the module, disconnect both cables from the battery.
Do not expose the cushion module to mechanical stress or heat sources. When working under the dashboard or near the steering column, always turn off the air safety system, including the belt tensioner connectors. After the module has been triggered, replace the control unit, cushion and belt tensioners.
Always place the airbag container with the lined side up.
