Removal and installation
Attention:
- before disconnecting the connector from the side airbag sensors, disconnect the side airbag connector;
- do not turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position or connect the wire to the negative battery terminal when replacing the front passive safety sensors.
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 3 minutes.
2. Remove the seat.
3. Remove the lower center pillar trim.
4. Disconnect the connector (A) from the side airbag sensor.
5. Using the TORX key, unscrew the bolt (A) and remove the sensor.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Check that the "SRS" indicator comes on for 6 seconds and goes out.
