Warning! The vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with airbags (SRS). When performing any work near the impact sensors, steering column or instrument panel, turn off the SRS (see Airbags - General Information). Do not test SRS models with any type of diagnostic equipment.
On Civic models, the radio and cassette player are housed in separate units, while on Integra models, the stereo system is a radio.
Radio
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then the positive cable.
Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the center console (see Chapter Body).

3. Remove the two mounting screws located underneath the radio receiver assembly (see accompanying illustration).

4. Remove the receiver from its socket in the instrument panel and disconnect the electrical wiring and antenna cable from it. On Civic models, disconnect the radio and player assemblies (disconnect the wire of the last one from the first one). Remove the radio (see accompanying illustration).
5. To remove the cassette player on Civic models, remove the mounting bolts (two on each side of the block).
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Loudspeakers
Front main speakers
1. Remove the speaker trim panel.

2. Remove the mounting screws, lift the speaker assembly out of its socket and disconnect the electrical connector (see accompanying illustration).
3. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Front tweeters
1. Remove the interior door trim panel.
2. Disconnect the tweeter electrical connector.
3. On Civic models, remove the side mirror trim panel.
4. Remove the mounting screws and remove the speaker.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Rear speakers
1. On Civic models, remove the rear side trim panel (Hatchback) or rear shelf (Coupe/Sedan).
2. On Integra Hatchback models, remove the speaker trim cover.
3. On Integra Sedan models, remove the three screws securing the speaker cover inside the trunk. Remove the cover.
4. Remove the mounting screws and remove the speaker.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
