Replacing the crankshaft speed sensor (Honda Civic 5)

1. Remove the cylinder head cover.

2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

3. Remove the top cover and oil dipstick/tube.

4. Remove the lower cover and the tensioner roller bracket.

5. Disconnect the crankshaft speed sensor connector, then remove the sensor itself.



6. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
