HITACHI
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals. If the resistance is not within specifications, replace the distributor housing (DI) assembly (Type A) or ignition coil (Type B).
Note: The resistance will change with the coil temperature, the specification is valid at 20°C.
Type A: HITACHI
Primary winding resistance (between contacts A and B):
0.54 - 0.66 Ohm
Secondary winding resistance (between the secondary winding contact and A):
13.6- 20.4 Ohm
Type B: HITACHI
Primary winding resistance (between contacts A and B):
- 0.45 - 0.55 Ohm
Secondary winding resistance (Between the secondary winding contact and A):
Type C: TEC
Primary winding resistance (between contacts A and B):
- 0.63 - 0.77 Ohm
Secondary winding resistance (between the secondary winding contact and A):
- 12.8- 19.2 Ohm
