Examination
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground and remove the ignition distributor cover and gasket.
2. On parts of cars, unscrew the locking screw, remove the slider and dust cover.
3. Check the resistance of the primary winding. To do this, disconnect the black / yellow wire from terminal A (+) and white/blue wire from pin B (-). The resistance between the terminals of the primary winding should be 0.63-0.77 Ohm (CR-V) and 0.4-0.6 ohm (4-cylinder Odyssey).
4. Check the resistance of the secondary winding, which is measured between terminal A (+) high voltage output. Resistance should be 12.8-19.2 kOhm (CR-V) and 22.4-33.6 kOhm (4-cylinder Odyssey).
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground and remove the ignition distributor cover and gasket.
2. On a part of the car, unscrew the lock screw, remove the slider, marking its orientation, and the dust cover.
3. The ignition coil is fixed with screws on 2 pins. Disconnect the black/yellow wire from terminal A (+) and white/blue wire from pin B (-), unscrew the fastening screws and remove the coil.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
