Inspection
1. Center the steering wheel.
Note: Measure the difference in toe-in values with the steering wheel in a strictly straight position.
2. Check the front wheel toe-in angle.
Front wheel toe angle.
All models from 1992-95 and five-door models from 1995-98:
- 0° ±20' or 0±2 mm
Three- and four-door models produced in 1996-98:
- 0°10' ±201 or 1 ±2 mm
- If adjustment is required, follow step 3.
- If adjustment is not required, remove the equipment.
Adjustment
3. Loosen the tie rod lock nuts and turn both tie rods in the same direction until the front wheels are straight ahead.
4. Turn both tie rods simultaneously until the toe angle reading on the turntable is correct.
5. After adjustment, tighten the steering rod locknuts.
