Service Information
Note: Before properly checking/adjusting the camber, perform the following checks and adjustments:
- Make sure the suspension has not been modified.
- Check tire size and pressure.
- Check wheel and tire runout.
- Check suspension ball joints. (Grasp the road wheel with your hands, then move it up and down and left and right and check for wobble).
Wheel alignment procedure
All wheel alignment elements are connected to each other. Therefore, when adjusting one of the elements (camber, caster, toe and/or steering angle) A total front/rear wheel alignment is required.
If adjustment of one of the listed items was required, recheck all of them.
Wheel alignment tool
Note:
- Since the wheel alignment tool can be mounted on the magnet of the front camber and caster gauge, make sure the wheel hubs are clean and free of rust before installing the tool.
- When installing the special tool, align the groove on the special tool with the groove on the contact surface of the measuring instrument to maximize the magnetic force of the instrument.
- To obtain accurate wheel alignment readings, the vehicle must be on level ground.
