Note. Check the clutch pedal position sensor.
Before adjusting the clutch pedal, remove the mat on the driver's side.
In order to compensate for wear, the clutch is self-adjusting.
If there is no clearance between the clutch master cylinder piston and the pushrod, the release bearing can act on the diaphragm spring, which in turn can lead to slip or other clutch problems.
1. Loosen lock nut A, and unscrew the clutch pedal position switch or adjusting bolt B so that it does not touch the clutch pedal.
2. Loosen lock nut D and, by turning the clutch master cylinder rod, set the required pedal height F, full pedal travel G, pedal free travel H, full clutch disengagement position I.
- Full stroke of the clutch pedal: 120-130 mm.
- Free travel of the clutch pedal: 10-18 mm.
- Clutch pedal installation height: 67 mm.
- Pedal position with fully disengaged clutch: 149 mm.
3. Tighten locknut.
4. With the clutch pedal released, tighten the position switch or clutch pedal adjustment bolt until the pedal touches.
5. Turn the position switch or clutch pedal adjustment bolt an additional 3/4-1 turn.
6. Tighten locknut.
7. Depress the clutch pedal to the floor.
