1. Remove the release bearing yoke A from the clutch housing B by squeezing the yoke set spring C with pliers. Remove the release bearing D.
2. Check the bearing by turning it by hand. If turning requires considerable effort, replace the bearing with a new one.
Note. The release bearing housing is filled with grease. Do not wash it in solvent.
3. Use UM 264 grease (P/N 41211-PY5—305) for lubricating the hatched surfaces of the release fork A, the release fork stop B, the release bearing C and the release bearing guide D.
4. Using the slip of the release fork over the grooves of the bearing, slide the bearing onto the shaft while inserting the release fork into the hole in the clutch housing.
5. Align the bearing surface of the fork with the stop of the clutch fork, then press the fork so that it sits firmly on the stop.
6. By moving the release fork A to the right and left, make sure that it fits snugly against the release bearing, and the bearing itself moves smoothly.
