Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir…

Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir monthly. The car has two reservoirs in which the brake fluid level must be monitored:
  • master cylinder reservoir;
  • clutch hydraulic drive master cylinder reservoir.

The brake fluid in the hydraulic brake drive must be replaced at intervals specified in the vehicle maintenance regulations.

When topping up, use only Honda brake fluid or its equivalent - DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid. The brake fluid container used must be hermetically sealed. Please note that DOT5 brake fluid is not suitable for the vehicle's braking system.

The brake fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the translucent wall of the master cylinder reservoir. A drop in the brake fluid level to or below the "MIN" mark may indicate a brake system malfunction. Contact a service station to check the tightness of the brake hydraulic drive and the condition of the brake pads.



The brake fluid reservoir is divided into two compartments. The secondary compartment tank is located behind the primary compartment tank. The "MAX" mark is on the primary compartment tank, and the "MIN" mark is on the secondary compartment tank.

Adding brake fluid to the clutch hydraulic reservoir



The working fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks, which are applied to the translucent wall of the clutch hydraulic drive reservoir. If the fluid level has dropped to the "MIN" mark, add brake fluid to the reservoir and bring its level to the "MAX" mark. The same working fluid as in the brake hydraulic drive is used for topping up.

A drop in the level of the working fluid in the tank may be a consequence of a leak in the clutch hydraulic drive and fluid leakage. In this case, you must immediately contact a service station to check the condition of the clutch hydraulic drive units and parts.
