1. Remove the lid from the tank. Make sure the float moves up and down freely; otherwise, replace the reservoir cap assembly.
2. Check if there is continuity between the terminals in the lower and upper positions of the float:
Float at the top: should be conductive.
Float at the bottom: there should be no conductivity.
