Fuel filler neck hatch (Honda Civic 7)

Adjustment

Hatchback

Adjust the position of the fuel filler flap if necessary.

a) Unscrew the nut and remove the spring.

Tightening torque - 2 Nm

b) To adjust, loosen the hatch mounting bolts as shown in the figure and adjust the position of the hatch.

c) Tighten the bolts after adjustment.

Tightening torque - 10 Nm



c) Make sure the fuel filler cap closes tightly.

d) Apply grease to the areas indicated by arrows in the figure.

Sedan

Adjust the position of the fuel filler flap if necessary.

a) To adjust, loosen the hatch mounting bolts as shown in the figure and adjust the position of the hatch.



c) Tighten the bolts after adjustment.

Tightening torque - 10 Nm



c) Make sure the fuel filler cap closes tightly.

d) Apply grease to the areas indicated by arrows in the figure.

Removal and installation the fuel filler flap lock drive cable

1. Remove the front door sill trim (see section "Interior trim").

2. (Sedan) Remove the lower trim of the rear pillar on the left side (see section "Interior trim").

3. Remove the side trim of the luggage compartment (see section "Interior trim").

4. Remove the footrest trim (see section "Interior trim").

5. Lift the floor trim.

6. Disconnect the hatch lock drive cable from the lever.

7. Remove the adhesive tape and detach the clips.

8. Turn the hatch lock 90° and detach it from the body



9. Disconnect the fuel filler flap lock drive cable from the body and remove it.

10. When removing, follow the figure "Fuel filler flap lock drive cable".





11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal

12. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the position of the hatch.

Removal and installation the fuel filler flap lock drive lever

1. Loosen the fuel filler flap drive lever mounting bolt.

Tightening torque - 10 Nm



2. Disconnect the lock drive cable from the lever and remove the lever.





3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
