Trunk lid release cable
1. On the driver's side of the passenger compartment, loosen the mounting screws and remove the interior trim panel, providing access to the drive cable and the mounting bolts for the trunk lid release lever (see accompanying illustration). Disconnect the drive cable from the release assembly.
2. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Fuel tank filler flap release cable
1. In the luggage compartment, release the plastic fasteners securing the left side and rear interior trim panels, allowing access to the fuel filler cap assembly.
2. Rotate the drive cable 90°, aligning the locking tabs of the end with the corresponding grooves in the body panel (see accompanying illustration). Pull the cable inside the vehicle.
3. Release the cable from all intermediate fasteners and tie a piece of thin wire to its end.
4. Pull the cable back through the luggage compartment and remove it until the wire tied to the end is visible.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
