Note: Before checking the throttle control cable, make sure of the following:
  • The throttle cable free play is correct.
  • Idle speed is correct.
  • The engine has warmed up to normal operating temperature (radiator fan is on).

2. Make sure that the throttle control lever operates in sync with the throttle sector when you press and release the accelerator pedal.

3. If the lever and sector do not work synchronously, adjust the throttle control cable.
