Examination
1. Lift the parking brake lever with a force of 196 N (20 kgf), to fully apply the parking brake. The parking brake lever must be locked within the specified number of clicks.

2. Adjust the parking brake if the lever clicks are not within specifications.
Adjustment
Note: After servicing the rear brake, loosen the parking brake by adjusting the nut, start the engine and press the brake pedal several times to set the self-adjusting brake before adjusting the parking brake.
1. Raise the rear wheels off the ground and secure them on safe stands.
Warning. Block the front wheels before jacking up the rear of the vehicle.
2. On vehicles with rear disc brakes, ensure that the parking brake lever on the rear brake mechanism is in contact with the brake pad pin.
3. Remove the rear console.
4. Raise the parking brake lever one click.
5. Tighten the adjusting nut until the rear wheels feel slightly sticky when turning.
6. Fully release the parking brake lever and check that the rear wheels do not bind when turning. Adjust again if necessary.
7. Make sure the parking brakes are fully engaged when the parking brake lever is fully raised.
8. Install the rear console.
Leveling up
Attention.
- Use only clean DOT3 or 4 brake fluid.
- Make sure that dirt or other foreign objects are not contaminating the brake fluid.
- Do not allow brake fluid to get on the car, it can damage the paint; if any fluid gets on the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
Note: The filler barrel on the master cylinder must be filled to the upper MAX mark at the beginning of bleeding and checked after bleeding each brake. Add liquid as required. Use only DOT3 or 4 brake fluid.
1. Make sure that the brake fluid in the filler tank is filled to the top (MAX) level.
2. Get someone's help to slowly press the brake pedal a few times, then press the pedal down steadily.
3. Loosen the brake bleeder to allow air to escape from the system. Then tighten the outlet fitting securely.
4. Repeat this procedure for each wheel in the sequence shown below until bubbles no longer appear in the fluid.
5. Fill the brake master cylinder filler barrel to the top level
