Pedal height
1. Disconnect the brake switch connector, loosen the brake switch locknut, and turn the brake switch out so that it does not contact the brake pedal.
2. Unscrew the mat and measure the pedal height from the center of the right side of the pedal.
3. Loosen the pushrod locknut and screw the pushrod in or out using a tool until you get the standard pedal height from the floor, after adjusting, tighten the locknut.
Note: Do not adjust the pedal height while the pushrod is pressed.
4. Screw in the Brake switch until its stem is fully depressed (the threaded end contacts the pedal arm). Then unscrew the switch 1/4 turn to achieve 0.3mm clearance between the threaded end and the pedal. Tighten the locknut securely. Connect the brake switch connector.
Attention. Make sure the brake lights go out when the pedal is released.
5. Check the free play of the brake pedal as described below.
Free pedal play
1. With the engine off, check the play in the pedal by pushing the pedal with your hand.
Free play:1 -5 mm
2. If the pedal play is not within specification, adjust the brake switch.
Attention. If there is insufficient pedal play, this can cause the brake to stick.
