Warning! Do not smoke when working on the fuel system. Do not produce sparks or open flames in the work area.
1. Relieve the fuel pressure (see above).
2. Drain the fuel into a suitable container using a hand pump.
3. Raise the vehicle with a jack and secure it to safety stands.
4. Remove the fuel tank suspension element.
5. Remove the inspection panel and disconnect the 5-pin connector from the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the fuel return hose and quick release couplings (see above).
7. Disconnect the filler neck connecting hose and the fuel breather hose.
Note: When disconnecting the hoses, tighten the clamps, then reel the hoses in as you pull them out to avoid damaging them. Disconnect the fuel vapor bleed tube from the EVAP canister two-way valve.
8. Support the fuel tank with a jack or other object.
9. Unscrew the mounting bolt.
10. Remove the fuel tank. If it is stuck to the coating applied to the support, carefully pry it off and separate it from the support.
11. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Before connecting, thoroughly clean the sockets of the high-pressure hoses.
