Warning: Do not allow antifreeze to come into contact with skin or painted surfaces of the vehicle. Rinse with water immediately. Do not store antifreeze in open containers. Antifreeze has a sweet taste. This may attract the actions of children and animals. Toxic. Fire hazard.
1. The expansion tank is located next to the radiator in the right front corner of the engine compartment.
2. Disconnect the pipe connecting the tank to the radiator.
3. Remove the battery and its stand (see Chapter 5).
4. Remove the battery tray bracket (see Chapter 5).
5. Remove the bolts securing the tank to the body (see fig. 1.1). Lift the tank up and remove it from the vehicle.
6. Pour the coolant into a clean container. Rinse the tank. Check for damage.
7. Install the tank in the reverse order of removal. Fill the tank with coolant.
