Note: Incorrect adjustment can lead to serious accidents. Check the adjustment at least once a year.
1. The headlight has horizontal and vertical adjustment screws (see fig. 8.4 a).
2. There are a number of adjustment methods. The simplest method requires a level area and a wall at a distance of 8 m.
3. Place vertical marks on the wall corresponding to the center of the vehicle and the centers of the headlights.
4. Apply horizontal marks corresponding to the center of the headlights (this is easy to do by driving the car a few centimeters away from the wall).
5. Adjustment is carried out at normal vehicle height without passengers and a half-empty fuel tank.
6. Start by adjusting the dipped beam: the brightest spot should be located 5 cm below and to the right of the intersection point of the horizontal and vertical marks of the headlight centers.
7. The bright spot of the main beam must be exactly where the marks intersect.
8. The headlights will be most accurately adjusted at the service station.
